چکیده
Results. Fifty-nine patients (41 women, 18 men) with 226 single teeth and implants restored with single ceramic crowns were identified. The mean duration from insertion date to study examination date was 6.1 years. Thirteen restorations (6%) were replaced at a mean 3.3 years after insertion date (range, 0.1-6.1 years). Estimated replacement-free survival rates (95% confidence interval [CI]; number of teeth/implants still at risk) at 5 years after insertion datewere 95.1% (95%CI, 92.2-98.1; 153) and at 10 years were 92.8% (95% CI, 89.1-96.8; 8). The most common reason for replacement was fracture to the core of posterior layered ceramic crowns. Themost commonly used luting agent was resin-modified ionomer cement. Most restorations exhibited clinically acceptable marginal integrity, shade, no caries recurrence, and no periapical pathology.

Ceramic inlays bonded with two adhesives after 4 years.
OBJECTIVE The aim of the present study was to clinically evaluate the effect of two different adhesive/resin composite combinations for luting of IPS Empress inlays. METHODS Ninety-four IPS Empress restorations were placed in 31 patients in a controlled prospective clinical split-mouth study. The restorations were luted with EBS Multi/Compolute (3M Espe) or with Syntac/Variolink II low (Ivocl...
متن کاملMarginal Adaptation and Fracture Resistance of Resin Nano-Ceramic and Zirconium Dioxide All Ceramic Restorations
Marginal adaptation is one of most important criteria for long term clinical success of dental restorations [1]. The presence of marginal discrepancies exposes the luting agent to the oral environment. The larger the marginal discrepancy and the subsequent exposure of the dental luting agent to oral fluids, the more rapid the rate of cement dissolution and microleakage [2]. These marginal irreg...
متن کاملMarginal and flexural integrity of three classes of luting cement, with early finishing and water storage.
OBJECTIVES The aims of this investigation were to clarify the effects of finishing-time and 24 h water-storage on mechanical properties and marginal adaptation to dentin of seven modern luting cements, representing three chemical types. METHODS Bistite II, Chemiace II, Compolute, XenoCem, PermaCem, Fuji Cem and Fuji Plus were investigated with specimen sub-groups (N=10) for each property meas...
متن کاملEffect of adhesive luting on the fracture resistance of zirconia compared to that of composite resin and lithium disilicate glass ceramic
OBJECTIVES The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of adhesive luting on the fracture resistance of zirconia compared to that of a composite resin and a lithium disilicate glass ceramic. MATERIALS AND METHODS The specimens (dimension: 2 mm × 2 mm × 25 mm) of the composite resin, lithium disilicate glass ceramic, and yttria-stabilized tetragonal zirconia polycrystal (Y-TZP) were p...
متن کاملOne year clinical performance and post-operative sensitivity of a bioactive dental luting cement--a prospective clinical study.
A one-year clinical study was performed on the efficacy of a bioactive dental cement (Ceramir C&B) with calcium aluminate and glass ionomer components. The study was performed on 38 crown and bridge abutments in 17 patients. Preparation parameters were recorded, as well as working-times, setting-times, and other handling characteristics. Baseline data were also recorded for gingival inflammatio...
